Common Questions
Do I need any experience to start?
No. Many of our students start with zero grappling or martial arts background. Our coaches will guide you through the basics step by step and help you build a solid foundation safely.
What should I wear to my first class?
If you do not have a gi yet, wear clean athletic clothing with no zippers or pockets—for example a rashguard or t-shirt and shorts or leggings. We will help you with gi sizing and gear options when you arrive.
Is BJJ safe?
All grappling carries some risk, but we keep safety as the priority. You will learn how to tap early, train with control, and communicate with partners. Our coaches supervise rounds closely and match partners by size and experience.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
No. BJJ is one of the best ways to get in shape. We will adjust the pace to your current fitness level, and your conditioning will improve as you train consistently.
Do you offer Gi and No-Gi classes?
Yes. Our program includes both gi and no-gi classes so you can develop a complete game. Check our current schedule for specific class times.
